Privacy & customer research

Dispute Guard is an independent early-stage project in customer research and demo validation. The public walkthrough uses synthetic data. No eBay account access is required for a demo, and the prototype is not yet available for live seller accounts.

If you email us about a demo or research conversation, we use your email address and the information you choose to share to respond and understand your workflow. Please do not send passwords, authorization tokens or buyer personal data.

Mykhailo Hut, Founder, Dispute Guard, is the contact for demo inquiries, privacy questions and requests to delete information you have shared: hello@disputeguardapp.com.

Manual recovery pilot requests

The separate Seller Protection recovery pilot offers a manual case review, without connecting to a seller’s eBay account. Its initial form prepares an email draft; it does not send a request or store the entered details in our application database or browser storage. Opening a draft passes its contents to your email app. Copying a request puts its text on your clipboard.

When you send that email, we receive the information you chose to include: contact details, marketplace and country, debit amount and currency, relevant dates, dispute reason, delivery and protection information, and your short description. Mykhailo Hut uses it to assess the case, respond, and, if appropriate, prepare a factual review package and check the result. Requests and replies are held in the existing email service used for hello@disputeguardapp.com, separately from the Sandbox database.

Do not send passwords, access tokens, bank or card details, buyer personal data, or documents with the initial request. If supporting evidence is needed, we will explain what to share and what unnecessary personal details to hide first. Pilot requests are not automatically sent to an AI model.

We manually delete pilot case materials from the mailbox we manage within 90 days after the review is closed, or earlier on request. This is not an automated deletion feature and does not delete copies in your email account. For access or deletion requests, contact hello@disputeguardapp.com.

Separate Sandbox workspace

The separate owner-only eBay Sandbox workspace stores encrypted eBay authorization tokens and a limited set of Sandbox dispute fields: IDs, status, amount, currency, reason, deadlines and evidence request metadata.

The Sandbox workspace does not store buyer names, addresses, messages or evidence files. Dispute data is not sent to an AI model. The service uses Sites / Cloudflare hosting and a D1 database.

The owner can use “Disconnect & delete data” in Connection & setup to remove the workspace’s stored connection, disputes, checklists, alerts and sync history. Separately revoke the app authorization in eBay if needed.

Sandbox synchronization is manual only. Opening the dashboard does not run a sync. It does not send evidence, accept or contest disputes, issue refunds, or make decisions for a seller.

This notice covers the current research/demo stage, the manual recovery pilot and the separate owner-only Sandbox workspace. The manual pilot does not onboard sellers into the connected software. A production retention policy and applicable deletion procedures must be established before connecting external production seller accounts.
